WOMEN’S DIVISION
MASTERTON BRANCH ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, Masterton Branch, was held in the rooms, King Street, yesterday afternoon, The president, Mrs K. Groves, presided over a large attendance of members. Several apologies for absence were received. Members expressed satisfaction with the financial position of the branch, which reflected credit on those responsible. The annual report, which has already appeared in the ‘Times-Age” and the balance sheet were adopted. Officers were elected as follow: — President, Mrs K. Groves; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames C. A. Burling and E. J. Wright; Committee, Mesdames A. Ross, Engstrom, Barlow, A. B. Cottle, K. Stewart, G. Taylor, T. Aplin; treasurer, Mrs Alex Donald; secretary pro tern., Miss McKenzie; delegates to council, Mesdames A. C. Gawith, K. Groves and A. Ross; Press reporter, Mrs. Rue. At the conclusion of business members were the guests of Mrs Groves at afternoon tea.
