TSAOCHWANG TAKEN AGAIN BY CHINESE JAPANESE FORCE BOTTLED UP. TSINANFU GATES STORMED. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Copyright. HANKOW, April 9. The Chinese claim that a swift movement, recapturing Tsaochwang, bottled up the Japanese fleeing from Taierchwang.
Japanese reinforcements were held up as the result of guerilla troops destroying the Tsinan railway. Guerrilla activities caused the breakdown of Japanese munition supplies. The Chinese also claim that wellequipped regulars, assisted by motorised detachments, stormed three gates of Tsinanfu and seized various points in the city which has been in the Japanese hands for three months. In a Japanese air raid on Canton, a sewing factory was hit. The death roil will probably exceed one hundred. Members of the Red Cross, with bare hands, tore at the debris from the factory. Some of the bodies were incinerated. THE CASUALTY LIST. 150 KILLED AND 120 INJURED. (Recd This Day, 10.30 a.m.) CANTON, April 10. The casualty list is 150 killed and 120 injured. (Recd This Day, 10.25 a.m.) HANKOW, April 10. Supporting their encircling armies, Chinese war planes caused heavy casualties among the Japanese troops crowding Yihsien. The Japanese are erecting strong defences north-west of the town.
