AEROPLANE CONSTRUCTION CRIPPLED. MORE NATIONALISATION DEMANDS. (Recd This Day, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, April 8. The Paris correspondent of the “Times” says 5800 workmen struck at the Hispano Suiza works, bringing to a standstill the construction of aero engines for the Air Force’s scouting and reconnoitring aeroplanes. The strikers in Paris now number 59,000. Unionists in the Gnome Rhone aero engine works demand nationalisation of the factories.
