WOOL SUPPLIES
STORAGE IN GREAT BRITAIN IN EVENT OF WAR
INFORMAL INVESTIGATION BEING MADE SECURITY SOUGHT AGAINST AIR BOMBARDMENT By Telegraph.—Press Association, Copyright. (Recd This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, April 8. The Government has approached prominent dealers in the wool industry on the subject of what facilities are available for wool storage in the event of war. The Government aims at discovering where supplies could be dispersed, as it considers that ports, especially eastern ports, would be subjected to intensive air bombardment. The inquiries have been made informally, almost casually. It is believed that ample storage is available to meet any demands. Thus far there is little foundation for reports that the Government will marke large purchases of wool.
