Best North Island wether sheep, under 481 b., s?d; 48/561b, s§d; 56/641b, 5Jd; 64/721b, 4?d. North Island ewes, under 481 b, 4Jd; 48/561b, 3gd; 56/641b, 3£d; 64/721b, 3Jd. N.Z. prime ox beef, 160/220, none offering. i
Compared with last week’s quotations, down lamb and crossbred lamb, Id per lb. higher, second quality lamb ’d per lb higher. Ewes and wethers unchanged. The lamb market is firm all round, particularly for light weights. There is no change in the mutton market.
