“All the members of my family were more or less brought up on Rider Haggard’s books, so I have always been interested in Africa,” said Miss N. G. Gray, a New Zealander, who arrived lately in Sydney in the Anchises. Miss Gray, who is a cousin of the late Sir H. Rider Haggard, has travelled extensively in Africa, although on this trip she only visited the south. Miss Gray, who first started travelling when she was a year old, has lived in 27 different countreis.
