STEPS TO MEET BUDGET DEFICIT.
ESTIMATES REDUCED & NEW TAXES IMPOSED. BRUSSELS, April 6. Cabinet, faced with a Budget deficit of twelve millions sterling, decided to reduce all estimates except defence by a total' of four millions, and to impose new taxes to the extent of nine millions, including an increase of certain excise and Customs duties, and a special tax on certain monopolies, including insurance companies.
