REMARKABLE ESCAPE
CAR CRASHES IN COLOMBO ROAD ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT. The driver and passenger of a mo-tor-car, which crashed last night at the intersection of Johnston Street and Colombo Road, had a remarkable escape from injury. When the car was turning from Johnston Street into Colombo Road it skidded on the slippery, rain-soaked surface and, after turning a somersault. finished up alongside of the fence with its four wheels pointing skywards. The driver and his companion had to break a window to free themselves from the wreckage, the car being extensively damaged.
