WRIGHT, STEPHENSON & CO. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—A small yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at Masterton yesterday and was offered to a fair attendance. Although lambs were hard to dispose of at late rates we report a total clearance at the following prices:— Sheep.—S.M. ewes, to 17s; woolly wr. lambs, 10s 6d, Ils to 13s Id; shorn do., to 12s 6d; b.f. lambs, 10s 6d to 13s; small ewe lambs, to 13s fat and fwd. ewes, to 15s; store ewes, to 10s; fat lambs, to 20s 6d. Cattle. —Fwd Jers cows to £4; empty cows, £2 15s to £3. Pigs.—Weaners, 12s, 14s to 14s Gd. F.C.D. COMPANY, LTD. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op Distributing Co., Ltd., report: We had a good yarding of sheep, principally 2-th wethers and store lambs at the Masterton sale yesterday. A. complete clearance was effected at the following prices:—Fat b.f. 2-ths, 20s Gd; 2-th wethers, 19s to 20s 6d; b.f. lambs, 12s to 13s 9d; small, 7s 6d to 10s; w.f. ewe lambs, 16s 6d; small, 12s; w.f. wether lambs, Ils to 12s lOd; cull, 7s 6d to 9s 6d. N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE CO. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: We held our usual weekly sale yesterday, when only a small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward. Bidding at auction was dragging and several pens were passed. The following were the prices received: Fat wethers, 255; woolly wether lambs, 12s 2d to 14s; aged ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 12s Gd; small lambs, 7s 6d to 8s 3d; station cows with calves, at foot, £5 13s; 18mos. P.A. heifers, £3 10s. PAHIATUA SALE. Dalgety and Co. held their weekly sale at Pahiatua, when a small yarding of sheep came forward. A total clearance was made at full late rates. Quotations are:—Heavy fat wethers, 26s Id; lighter, 225; fat b.f. ewes and wethers, 245; forward conditioned, 19s 6d; s.m. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 21s; medium woolly wether lambs, 15s sd; medium forward b.f. lambs, 14s 6d.
