SHANTUNG CONFLICT
SOME ADVANTAGE GAINED BY CHINESE
AIR FORCE CAUSING HAVOC TO JAPANESE.

The “Daily Telegraph’s” Hong Kong correspondent states that despite contradictory reports unprejudiced observers agree that recent operations in Shantung and Shansi areas, particularly at Taierhchwang, demonstrate that China has an advantage. The Chinese Air Force is causing havoc among the retreating Japanese units, machine-gunning and bombing them throughout the day while guerilla troops attack them by night.
