NGARURORO DISPUTE
WORK TO BE RESUMED TODAY. HASTINGS, April 5. Work on the Ngaruroro River control scheme will probably be resumed tomorrow. At a meeting between the board’s representatives and the men employed on the job, held at Pakowhai this morning, the men agreed to recommence work immediately teams and gear are assembled. This will probably be done by tomorrow.
The men first held a conference among themselves and then discussed proposals with the board.
