VAIN ATTEMPT TO FORESTALL HITLER DESIRE FOR UNHAMPERED VOTE Press / ■P.lflcftrie Tn lQ tf vn nb—flonyrigbl (Recd This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, April 5. Why did Dr Schuschnigg (late Chancellor of Austria) resort to the plebiscite which led to his downfall?
