VAIN SEARCH FOR MISSING BOMBER LOST DURING NIGHT FLIGHT FROM SINGAPORE. ANOTHER MACHINE DESTROYED IN ENGLAND. SINGAPORE, April 5. (Recd This Day, 9. 9.45 a.m.) After a search throughout the day by forty aircraft all hope has been abandoned for a Royal Air Force bomber, which was reported missing while on a night flight. An earlier message stated that a Royal Air Force torpedo bomber with a crew of three was missing on a night flight 30 miles eastward of Singapore. FIVE LIVES LOST. FATAL CRASH IN YORKSHIRE. (Recd This Day, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, April 5. A Royal Air Force bomber crashed during a night flight near Driffield and the five members of the crew were killed. .
