The accident happened about 5 p.m. on November 23. 1337. For plantiff it was alleged that defendant's lorry was being driven along the main road at Karori negligently and unskilfully so that the lorry or portion of its load which projected, struck plaintiff while he was crossing the road on foot. He suffered severe personal injuries, including a wound on his face, a fracture of a bone in the face and fracture of a bone in the face and fractures of his left forearm and left collarbone.
