KOPUAWHARA INQUEST CONTINUED. CORONER REJECTS THEORY. WAIROA, April 5. The Kopuawhara inquest was- continued today, the evidence being mostly of a technical nature. Several departmental experts were called. The Coroner said he was satisfied the disaster was not due to the deposit of spoil in the stream.

A witness heard yesterday expressed the opinion that the disaster was due to the stream being Cammed up with spoil taken from the tunnel.
