HOMICIDE CHARGE
DRIVER OF EXPRESS TRAIN ACQUITTED.
LONDON, April 1. By the judge’s direction, David Anderson, the driver of the EdinburghGlasgow express which was involved in the Castlecary disaster on December 10, was acquitted on a charge of culpable homicide.
Thirty-five persons were killed and 40 injured when the Edinburgh-Glas-gow express, speeding at 60 miles an hour through a raging blizzard, crashed into a stationary Dundee-Glasgow train in Castlecary village, 13 miles from Glasgow.
