OUR FIRST ISSUE
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF GOOD WISHES The “Times-Age” has to acknowledge gratefully greetings and good wishes received from many parts of the Dominion on the occasion of the publication of its first issue yesterday. Th management desires to record its appreciation of the capable services of Mr. J. Lowe, who erected the Cossar printing machine. Not only was the machine, which weighs 30 tons, erected well within the period of four weeks allowed for the job, but it ran, on its first day of full duty, without a single hitch. At the conclusion of the run, Mr Lowe was warmly congratulated on all sides on the performance of the machine. Mr Lowe is a member of the staff of the “Wanganui Chronicle,” and it was through the courtesy of Mr Lionel C. Young, the manager, that his services were made available to the “Times-Age.”
