With the installation of Mr Hugh McCarroll, of Mareretu, into the chair of Franklin Lodge, No. 2138, E.C., at Paparoa, all chairs of this Masonic Lodge will be occupied by members of the same family. The installing master will be Mr. T. McCarroll, of Thames. Other brothers of the same family vzho will take part in the installation will be Messrs R. McCarroll, J. H. McCarroll, J. N. McCarroll, I). McCarroll and W. McCarroll. One of the pioneering families of North Auuckland, the McCarrolls, since their arrival from Belfast, Ireland, 50 years ago, have taken a major share in the development of the district. In recent years six brothers have assisted in local body administration.
