FAULTY NUTRITION

DETRIMENTAL EFFECTS At an address on food values given by Dr Violet Hastings at a meeting of the Radiant Health Club, Auckland, reference was made to the fact that New Zealand's soil was deficient in many life-giving elements and said the fact that the soil was out of balance with nature made for disharmony in . the human body. Dr. Hastings said the effect of faulty nutrition was both detrimental and far-reaching. Eye trouble and faulty vision had their origin in the lack of vitamin A, while kidney trouble and heart and nervous disorders were caused by lack of important food factors. It was the responsibility of all women to show a vital interest in their daily food and its real value and also in the relation between food and health.
