PRICES ON LONDON MARKET.

Lamb market: Tendency of the market is firmer, with prices of some grades slightly better. Consumption excellent for the -time of year. Mutton market: Wethers steady on the short stocks. Ewes easier owing to poor demand. Beef market: Frozen beef firm on short spot stocks. Chilled beef again easier owing to heavy supplies. New Zealand porker pigs: Market quiet and unchanged. N.Z. baconer pigs: Market steady and unchanged. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board, which, advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfied market: New Zealand sheep: Crossbred wethers and/or maiden ewes, 481 b and under, 5 7-8 d; 491 b to 561 b, 5Jd; 571 b to 641 b, 5 l-8d; 651 b to 721 b, 4Jd.
