CANADIAN PREMIER’S STATEMENT. A PREVIOUS SPEECH MISREPORTED. (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 1. In the House of Commons the Prime Minister, in opposing the Commonwealth Opposition proposal of no mobilisation of the Canadian army except by an emergency vote of Parliament, asserted that his speech at the World Fair at Paris in September was misreported by the British press. He declared that he never said any threat to England would bring Canada to her side.
