ACCIDENT AT WHARF TRACK DAMAGED NEW PLYMOUTH, March 31 Over GO yards of railway track were twisted and buckled when four trucks left the rails on the Moturoa Wharf, New Plymouth, last night. A goods train was carrying a consignment of sulphur from the motorvessel Sandhamn and the last four wagons were about 60 yards from the shore end of the wharf when they left the rails, twisting many of the sections beyond repair. So badly were the rails damaged by the fullyladen trucks that they had to be taken up.
