AUSTRIAN REFUGEES
MANY ADMITTED TO BRITAIN. SMALL NUMBER REJECTED. (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, March 31. The Home Secretary (Sir Samuel Hoare) stated in the House of Commons that 1317 Austrians had been permitted to land in Britain between March 1 and March 29. Sixty-one had been refused admission.
