4 SPANISH REPUBLICANS IN LERIDA ATTACKERS CLOSING IN ON THREE SIDES. CAPTURE OF INTERNATIONAL BATTALION. (Received This Day, 11.10 a.m.) BARCELONA, March 31. Lerida is surrounded on three sides, but is still unsubdued, despite heavy ing in the adjacent countryside. The shelling accompanied by fierce fightrebel front runs in two straight lines from Jaca to Lerida and from Lerida to Teruel, aggregating 220 miles. The rebels report the capture of the International Battalion, consisting of British officers and men.
