BADMINTON
MASTERTON CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Masterton Badminton Club was held this week at the residence of Mr J. H. Payton Mount Bruce Road. Mr L. Wilson occupied the chair. The following officers were elected: President, Mr D. T. Young; vicepresidents, Messrs J. H. Payton, J. K. Logan; club captain, Mr J. J. Payton; committee, Messrs J. K. Logan, P. Hawksworth, Miss N. Beetham. The prospects for the season were considered favourable and it was decided to invite applications for new members. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr and Mrs Payton for the use of their house for the meeting and to Misses N. and B. Payton for the supper.
