Y.M.C.A.
GYMNASIUM CLASSES. SEASON TO OPEN TO-DAY. The season in the Y.M.C.A. Gymnasium will open with a class for school girls in the afternoon and one for College boys in the evening. On Saturday morning the Junior boys from 8 years upwards are being catered for and on Monday next the classes for young men will be commenced. As in the past, these classes' will be under the direct supervision of the Association’s General Secretary (Mr. A. E. Bate), who will have assisting him Mr. C. Gregor, of the staff, and Mr. A. Tatton will take full control of the gymnastic training. After last year’s very successful display in the Opera House, it is anticipated that the classes will be considerably enlarged, and those who witnessed the work of the senior squad at the display and on the occasion of the Soldiers’ Club Sports will expect that numbers of young men will seek to have training of a similar kind. To encourage those who may be doubtful as to what is expected of them in such classes, the Association has decided to permit prospective members to take advantage of the classes free of obligation till Easter.
