Brisk and profitable business was done this morning at the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society’s annual shop day, which is being held in the shop previously occupied by Messrs. Laidlaw and McKay in Queen Street. A fine assortment of goods on sale is finding a ready market and it is anticipated that by this evening the financial result will be equally as good as that of last year. By special arrangement, Reuter’s world service, in addition to other special sources of information, is used in the compilation of the overseas intelligence published in this issue, and all rights therein in Australia and Nev; Zealand are reserved.
