MASTERTON CLUB EVENING MEETING The Masterton Amateur Athletic Club held its usual meeting on Wednesday night under favourable conditions, and with the following results: 100yds hep—Reading 1; McPherson 2; Bell 3. 440yds hep—McPherson 1, Askew 2, Kirwan 3. 880yds hep—Kirwan 1; Wyeth 2; Wickens 3. Inter-House Relay—Sellar and Sellar (Gully, McPherson and Sellar), 1, Wright, Stephenson 2, Public Trust 3. INTER-HOUSE RELAY CUP FOR COMPETITION So great was the enthusiasm shown in the inter-house relay on Wednesday night that Messrs. Sellar and Sellar have donated a handsome cup for this event, which is to be run annually. The race is open to any business house in the Borough of Masterton. A team is to consist of three runners. The event is to be run under the control of the Masterton Amateur Athletic Club. COMMITTEE MEETING At a committee meeting of the M.A.A.C. held last evening, it was resolved to declare the season closed. The winners of the various trophies are: — Saunders Cup. —Most points for flat .avid field events: F. Kirwan. CSlfr. Captain’s trophy—Most points for flat evf.-.i’- F. Kirwan. Club’s trophy.—'Most points in field events: J. Watt. A presentation of trophies is Co be made in the Savage Club rooms at '<i p.m. on Monday. All members and officials of the club are requested to attend.
