TO STAND THIS SEASON. sijj The Thorough-bred Entire Horse “ FERGUS,” FILL stand for this season at the Ilutt, and V y adjacent country districts. Fkrovs is a dark chestnut — stands 1G hands -first-class action —plenty of bone and muscle. Ills dam was got by the celebrated horse Wanderer, of New South Wales : he was got by Sir Hercules. Sir Hercules, sire of Cossack, Zoe, Wetsail, Phoebe, and numerous other winners, by the imported horse Cap-a-pie out of the imported mare Paraguay; Cap-a-pie by the Colonel, dam (sister to Cactus) out of the Duchess of York, by Waxy. Paraguay (who ran second for the Oaks, and won the Newmarket Town Plate and Nursery Stakes) by Sir Hercules out of Paradigm, by Partisan. Sir Hercules by Whalebone, out of Peri, by Vv anderer. The Colonel (who ran a dead heat tor the Derby, and won the St. Leger) by Whisker, dam by Delphini, out of Tipple Cider by King Fergus; vide Stud Book. Francs won the first-class prizes at the Oaniaru Pastoral and Agricultural Shows of ISG-3 and 1864, and in 1566 at Waikouaiti. Fergus will travel as follows; The Lower Hint, eve 7 second Monday; Upper Hint, on Tuesday; Rodder's, on Wednesday ; Feafhersicn, on Thursday; Grey town, on Friday ; Mastcrlon, on Saturday and Monday, end will then return to Greytown, on Tuosdav ; Fcatherston, on Wednesday; Hodder's, on Thursday; Upper liutt, on Friday ; Lower Ilutt, on Saturday and Monday.
