AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION AND FARMERS CLUBS.
(To the Editor of the Waieaeapa Meecitet.) Sie : — lt is now some months since the Committee appointed for the purpose of framing rules, and taking steps for the establishment of the'above objects met. Has the Committee died a natural death? Have our farmers learnt all the knowledge they desired, and are hot such institutions not only required but really necessary. At Featherston, they' have to their credit formed a|Farmer’s Club, aud we believe it is well supported. What are the people of Greytown, Carterton and Masterton doing? It requires but a little exertion on the part of those that are interested in this question and I trust that our leading farmers will take this matter up-—and that we should no longer linger behind the rest Of the farm districts of the colony hut have our agricultural and Horticultural shows as at Wanganui, Tokomairiro, Otago aud in all the rest of the agricultural districts of the colony,
