WAIRARAPA SMALL FARM ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the members of the Small Farm Association and the Small Farm Committee met on Wednesday last in the Greytown Schoolhouse, C R. Carter Esq., occupied the chair.
A long and desultory conversation took place as to whether the meeting had power to take into consideration the questions as passed at the late public meetings in the valley. The following resolutions were unanimously agreed to:—
Proposed by Mr Moles, seconded by Mr Jackson: —“ That the Small Farm Committee be requested to take into consideration the resolutions passed at the Greytown and Masterton meetings respecting the town reserves, and that Mr Renall and Mr Masters be requested to call a meeting at Mastcrton of the Small Farm Association for the purpose of electing three members to act with themselves and to form a joint committee with the like number to be appointed at Greytown." Proposed by Mr Renall, seconded by Mr H. H. Jackson-
“ That such Committee shall be empowered to take into consideration all matters connected with the Small Farm Associations, with the more immediate view of the future disposal of the lands of the Association and to report to a meeting of the Associations to be held within one month from the present date.” The following gentlemen were appointed to act as a Committee for Greytown:— Messrs. Moles, Kempton, Hirschberg and Stevens, who will act with two of the original members of the Small Farm Committee, Messrs C. R. Carter and H. 11. Jackson.
After a vote of thanks to the Chairman, the meeting separated.
