NOTICE,
MR. CHARLES RUSSELL, Music Seller, of Wellington, begs to inform his friends in the Wairarapa and surrounding districts that he still continues his annual January visits, right through to Napier and that no person is authorised by him to make use of his name. He is led to this having found that a person of the name of Legg has been making use of his name, with regard to his intentions of visiting the district, All future orders to be left at the office of this paper. FEATHERSTON ROAD DISTRICT. THE ANNUAL MEETING of the RATE PAYERS of the above District will be held at the Court House, Featherston, on SATURDAY, the 16th day of MARCH, 1867, at half-past two o’clock p.m., for the purpose of fixing the amount of the Rates for the construction, maintenance, and repairs severally of the Roads in the District during the ensuing year, and for the transaction of all ether business necessary to be done at such meeting under “ The District Highway’s Act, 1862.” Also, at such Meeting, will be brought forward for discussion a proposal from Messrs. Smith & Revans, for extending the Featherston Road District so as to include in such district a portion of the Moroa Plain. All persons (whether Rate Payers of the Featherston Road District or not,) interested in the above proposal, are invited to attend such Meeting and express their opinions thereon.
