NO FUNDS!
Accohdi.xo to the “Advertiser” the members of the Provincial Council, when they meet, will see before them in plain characters “no funds.” Uu the other hand, according to the “Independent,” the Government have more surplus funds in hand, than they have had for two or three years past. Which statement are wo to believe.'' It is dear while such contradictory statements are made the truth cannot he arrived at. If there are j no funds, why are there no funds If there are funds what becomes of the excuse advanced by the Government for not being prepared to bring forward any measures of importance next session ! It* there are no funds large measures for the purpose of raising funds ouvlit to be prepared. If there are funds wise measures areas urgently required. In either cam no time should be lost in convening the Council. on
