MAORI LOCAL OPTION VOTE.

ONE DISTRICT GOES DRY. For the first time in' the history of Maori elections several districts were able to cast their votes on Tuesday on the liquor question. The results to hand are _:— Takitimu: Continuance carried by 590 votes against 233 f° r no liquor. Horotiu: No liquor 527, continuance 315. no liquor carried. Te Arapoa : Continuance 443, no liquor 131, continuance carried.
