TOWN BAND CONCERT.

In to-day's issue is circulated a programme in connection with the Town Band concert to beheld in the Town Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening. As will be seen, a- very fine programme has been arranged and a most successful and enjoyable concert should result. A feature of the evening will be the drawing of the Art Union at the conclusion of the musical programme. This in itself will be veryintercsting, as some valuable prizes will be allotted. The gold nugget which forms the first prize is a valuable mineral specimen, and a gentleman in the town has already expressed his willingness to purchase it for £2O. The other prizes are several oil paintings of New Zealand scenery and views. The chairman of the : Town Board (Mr C. Bowden) wiii supervise the drawing. At the conclusion of the programme a dance will be held.
