DISTRICT NEWS.
TAUTARI. (Own Correspondent). We have been favoured by a visit from both Mr Young and Mr Greenslade, and as a result the chief topic of conversation is politics. The weather has been very boisterous of late, which has been a great check to the early root and maize crops. The grass has come on fairly well, and stock has improved in appearance, lire oat crops are looking very well considering the cold rough weather, which is more like winter than summer. The young people are discussing cricket and tennis just now for a change from hard work, and the boys have around or two with the gloves in the hall occasionally. •
