BANNER MATCH. WIN FOR TE AWAMUTU. The first match of the banner series to be played between the Waikato bowling clubs was decided on Saturday last, when the Whitiora club (Hamilton) met and were defeated by the local players. Te Awamutu won two out of three games, thus winning the match and scoring two points to Whitiora's one for the banner. The green was in £bod order, though owing to the recant rains somewhat slow. The ladies were again to the fore, and provided ample and toothsome refreshments. Following are the scores: — WHITIROA. TE AWAMUTU.
