The ■ New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report : TE AWAMUTU SALE. At Te Awamutu, on Saturday, 7th inst, we yarded 527 head of cattle, also sheep. There was a good demand and nearly all sold. Prices : Fat cows £7 5s to £8 ss, grown steers £7 19s, yearling steers £l 17s to £3 9s, yearling heifers £3 2s 6d to £3 6s, 18 months to 2 year old heifers £3 18s to £4 6s, empty cows in* fresh condition £3 19s to £4 15s, 3 year old Holstein heifers £5, dairy cows, springing £6 to £8 10s, heifers £6 12s 6d to £9, backward heifers £4 ios to £5 /s 6d, fat wethers 19s, woolly hoggets 16s 6d. Pigs in full supply were not wanted. CLEARING SALE AT OHAUPO. On Tuesday, loth inst., we held a clearing sale near Ohaupo of live and dead stock in the estate of the late B. Y. Bingham. There was a good attendance and most satisfactory prices realised. Dairy cows in milk made £lO to £l2 15s, springers £8 to £9 ss, springing heifers£s lOsto£sTss, young calves 7s to 9s 6d, farm mares £l6 10s to £l7 lOs, cob £6 ss, store pigs £1 lOs, implements, furniture, etc., brought full rates. OHAUPO SALE. On same day, at Ohaupo yards we submitted 1185 head of cattle which nearly all sold at late quotations. Grown steers made £7 to £7 Bs, 3 year old steers £5 lis to £6 ss, 2 to 2Yz year old steers £4 lis £4 18s, 2 year old steers £4 3s to £4 7s 6d, well grown yearling steers £3 2s to £3 lOs, mixed yearlings £2 14s to £3, 2 year old empty heifers £4 7s to £4 13s 6d, 18 months old empty heifers £3 lOs to £3 14s, yearling empty heifers £2 16s to £3, fat cows £7 to £7 lOs, empty cows in fresh condition £3 17s to £4 lOs, store cows £3 2s to £3 6s, dairy cows close to profit £7 to £8 15s, others £4 15s to £5 15s, springing heifers £6 £B, woolly hoggets 15s 6d, fat woolly hoggets 17s. At Hamilton, on Thursday, 12th inst., we penned 45 fat steers, 15 fat cows, 315 head of store cattle and springers, 400 sheep, and 93 pigs. • All sold under good competition except springers, which were rather dull of sale. Prices : Fat steers, £9 to £lO 15s ; lighter weights, £8 6s to £8 15s; fat cows, £7 9s; killable cows, £5 lOs to £6; 2 year-old empty heifers, £3 19s to £4 5s ; mixed yearlings, £2 14s to £3 2s ; yearling heifers, £2 19s ; empty cows in fresh condition, £3 lOs to £4 ss; springing heifers, £4 17s 6d to £5 15s ; dairy cows, £5 15s to £7 7s 6d ; fat wethers, £l Is 6d; fat ewes in wool, 17s lod to 18s 3d; shorn ewes, 16s 3d ; woolly hoggets, lis 3d to 14s ; store pigs, £l 6s to £l 17s; slips, 16s to 18s 6d ; weaners, 8s to IOs; breeding sows, £2 Is to £2 3s. CLEARING SALE AT NGAROTO. On Saturday, 14th inst., we held a clearing sale at Ngaroto on account of Mr G. S. Clark. There was a large attendance, and splendid prices were realised. The twenty-five dairy cows in milk averaged £l3, making from £lO 15s to £ls ; 2 springing Jersey heifers, £ls 5s each, I pedigree Jersey cow 20gns, I Jersey bull 14 months old £ls 15s, Jersey bull 6 years lOgns, 18 month empty heifers £4, pure Jersey calf month old other heifer calves same age £l 18s, bull calves £l 2s, ewes and lambs 17s, breeding sows £3 to £3 7s 6d, young pigs 13s to £l ss, draught mare in foal £4O, farm mares £26 to £32, Shetland pony, gig, and harness £3s.implements, harness, etc., at full rates,
