The Bowling Club will unofficially open the new greens at the 'Victoria Park on Monday next (Labour Day). Play will be commenced at about 10.30 a.m. It is expected that all enthusiasts and friends will be present and that a most enjoyable function will result An endeavour is being made to have the new tennis courts at Victoria Park ready .for play by Mondays next .(Labour Day), when the season will be unofficially opened. Enthusiasts are to be seen every evening working to have the courts in order, and it is hoped that they will receive all possible support to have the arrangements completed by Monday.
