(Own Correspondent.) The choir social which eventuated on September bth was a decided success in every way. Quite a number of performers were present from Cambridge, as were also those of the local performers. As a result the funds of the choir are now r in a flourishing condition. Much-needed rain has fallen, and the grass is now coming away splendidly. •_ The creamery is m full swing, wdth supplies ranging from Is,oooibs to 1501'os. The long-deferred question of the teacher's residence has now been satisfactorily settled, the Minister having granted the necessary funds. . Great sympathy is felt for Mr Geo Nickle, who had the misfortune to lose his daughter by a scalding accident last week. Mr Albert Berteisen, who was severely injured in a cy ding accident, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery.
