CORRESPONDENCE.

(Out correspondents opinions are the'u own; the responsibility of editorial items makes sufficient ballast for the editor's shoulders. It is necessary that all letters for publication should bear the name of the writer — not necessarily fOl publication, but as evidence of good faith.)

TO THE EDITOR. SirAllow me to point out what a great opportunity this town has got in having the privilege of getting 'a beautiful town clock at such a small cost. If ,the com- , munity is wise it will jump at the chance and there will be no difficulty in raising the £2OO. The Chamber of Commerce is certainly to be congratulated in getting the request granted and the general public should back them up in a practical way, by subscribing the money. Yours etc. Progress.
