TENNIS.

A meeting of delegates from live Hamilton, Cambridge and Te Awamutu Lawn Tennis Ciubs was held, at Cambridge on Saturday last to consider the advisability of forming an Association to manage the affairs of tennis in the country districts. The delegates present were Messrs McCarthy and Isherwood (Cambridge) Shand (Hamilton) and Cox (Te Awamutu). •

It was decided that the formation of such an Association was advisable, and also that a meeting of delegates from the various clubs in the Auckland district south of and including Huntly and Thames be called to consider the matter further. Mr Cox was appointed secretarv for the time being.

The meeting of delegates will be held in Hamilton at the Hamilton Hotel on Wednesday, the 20th September,
