KIHIKIHI TOWN BOARD.

A meeting of the Board was held on Wednesday last. There was a full attendance of members. Resolutions of regret at the loss of Mr T. H. Chapman and of condolence with Mrs Chapman and family were passed unanimously. A letter was read from the Defence Department in reference to the use of the hall for drill purposes for the Territorials under the new defence scheme. It was decided to permit the use of the hail as requested at a nominal charge sufficient to cover the cost of lighting, etc. In regard to i'fie fence in front of the hall, it was agreed to ascertain price and suitability of cyclone fencing for this purpose. Accounts amounting to about £55 were passed for payment.
