SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT IE AWAMUTU.

A serious accident occurred at Te Awamutu on " Wednesday afternoon whereby a young man named J. Humby received serious injuries-, through being thrown off and run over by the waggon he was driving, The injuajdman is in the employ of Messrs A. Hyde and Waipa Brewery Ltd. A jolt of the vehicle caused Humby to fall from his seat, and falling Under the waggon the wheel passed over his scolder. When picked'up he was unconscious, and it was apparent his injuries' were of a serious nature. Jie was conveyed to Dr. Reekie's'surgery, who rendered first aid and sent him on to his home, where Dr. Henderson attended him. An examination found him to be suffering from concussion of the brain, a number of face injuries, and two broken ribs. It was some time before he regained consciousness, but he is now making as satisfactory a recovery as can be expected. It will be some considerable time before he is able to resume his duties.
