EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY.
CORONATION PICTURES. The Empire Picture Company’s exhibition was one of the very best ever seen in this town. Apart from the other items, which were all good, Charles Dickens’ great story of the French revolution, “A Tale of Two Cities” stood out as a pictorial treat. The plot was followed with wonderful accuracy, and the different characters splendidly sustained. Nothing better has been seen in Te Awamutu, and the management is to be commended for screening such high-class pictures. On Tuesday evening next another monster programme is to shown, included in which will be 'pictures of the great Coronation festivities in London. It is only some five weeks since the event took place, yet right here on Tuesday night residents will have an opportunity of seeing , the great procession of royalty and others through the streets of London, the millions of people lining the route, the beautiful decorations, and the brilliant illuminated city by night. Thirty-five skilled operators worked on the picture, and very little of interest escaped their notice. The film was ordered direct from London by the Empire Company and reached New Zealand on Sunday last.
