HOME SEPARATION.

On Tuesday night Colonel Bell and Mr W. Goodfellow addressed a meeting of dairy farmers and others interested at the Town Hall, Te Awamutu. Mr Thos. Weal occupied the chair, and in .introducing the speakers, expressed the gratitude which they all felt for the good work done in introducing the home separation method to Waikato. Colonel Bell in a lengthy address explained the aims and objects and methods of working of the Home Separation Co. He thanked the people of Te Awamutu and surrounding districts • for the splendid support which they had given to his company from the outset. The campaign for the introduction of the new system had been a long and arduous one, but the opposing forces had now evacuated their position, and the home separation army, small in numbers, but well drilled, was now winning right along the line.

Mr W. Goodfellow also thanked the people of Te Awamutu for their kindly assistance. His visit to Australia had more than ever convinced him of the value and efficacy of the home separation system, which hdd now been placed on a solid basis in Waikato.

After several questions had been asked and satisfactorily answered by the speakers, Mr Giltrap moved a hearty vote of thanks to them for their address. There was now no doubt about home separation, and he wished the company every success. Mr Weal, in seconding the motion, said that after giving the new system a thorough trial, he was perfectly satisfied, and would never think of going back to the creamery system. His returns per cow for the year had exceeded all expectations, and these results had been attained with a minimum of labour and a great saving of time as compared with the creamery system. He had never had such returns since he started dairying in Waikato. In speaking to the motion Mr Hamilton Allen congratulated the Home Separation Company on the success that had attended their efforts. It gave him pleasure to testify to the splendid returns received from his herd during the past season, and to the treatment which he had received at the hands of the directors of the new company. He did not know of one supplier in the Kihikihi district who was not satisfied also. What particularly struck him was the entire absence of dissatisfaction with the tests of the Home Separation Company. This more than anything else had given the suppliers confidence. His returns per cow were far ahead of previous years, and he wished the directors continued success. The vote was carried with acclamation. ,
