KIHIKIHI.

(Own Co respondent.)

A public meeting called for the purpose of closing accounts, etc., in connection with the recent Coronation festivities was held in the Town Hall last evening. Mr O. P. Owen presided. Accounts totalling £33 were passed for payment, and it was reported that the receipts totalled over £42. A balance of £9 therefore remains to credit, and in accordance with a previous decision this will be devoted to the Town Hall lighting fund.

Much satisfaction was expressed at the complete success of the day's celebrations. Few places attempted so ambitious a programme as did Kihikihi,. and few can have acheived greater success in either a social, financial, or spectaculor sense.
