Measles are having a good innings in Wellington just now, says the Dominion, and the attendance in several of the cityschools is affected. This is not caused so much by the absence of children who are suffering from this highly infections malady as through the number of brothers and sisters oi me paneni who are not permitted to answer to the call of the school bell so long as there be one member of the family suffering. Each of the State school headmasters is supplied with certain information by the Health Department for their guidance in cases of outbreaks of infectious diseases among the scholars. Those referring to measles areas follows: "Duration of Infection. —From two to four weeks, or until all cough or branny shedding of skin has ceased." "Date at which school attendance may be resumed Not less than three weeks from the beginning of the rash. Peeling must be complete."
