A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

We are glad to note that the Catholic Church is coming into line on the question . of No-License. The "Toronto Pioneer " of March 31st says: "More and mo r e the Catholic Church is taking a positive stand against the saloon. Archbishop Ireland was one of the founders of the National Anti - Saloon League, and many of the archbishops, bishops, priests, and lay members of the Roman Cat hoi ic Church are most enthusiastic and potential warriors against the liquor traffic." This is as it should be, and we confiently expect ere longto see the Roman Catholic community in New Zealand fall into line on this important question.
