WATER SUPPLY FOR TE AWAMUTU.

The members of the Te Awarnutu Town Board (Messrs C. Bowden (chairman) A. Wallace and S. Mathews) accompanied by Mr Chenerv Suggate M.I.QE. visited the Tokanui stream yesterday, as a possible source of a water supply for the town. Mr Park, who had been advised of their proposed visit had prepared a “ sumptions feast,” and accompanied them to the source of the stream where an ample supply of water was found at the necessary height to give the required pressure for the town. To-day the Board are visiting the Mangahoe stream for the same purpose, and at an early date the engineer will supply his report, which will appear in our columns.
